Welcome!
This site showcases the film and video work of Michael Hanley, a Junior Television-Radio-Film major at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
I'm slowly getting everything up on this site. Mostly-completed sections can be accessed using the link bar above. You can view my high school movies, or see some of the freelance production work I've done. My resumé is available in the About section. More recent stuff, that doesn't have a permanent home yet, can be found below.
TRF Productions
Last semester I worked on several video projects in my first Newhouse production class. They will probably have their own page at some point, but for now I've included some of them here.
The first is a 30-second snippet of a music video for Nelly Furtado's "All Good Things." It's too bad the assignment only called for 30 seconds - I liked where we were going with this! Conceived and acted by Sandra Appiah, and directed by Kelsey Dyer. I acted as director of photography and lead editor.

Next, a short documentary we made on the secretive world of the college sports mascot. This was another collaboration with Sandra and Kelsey, and I was again mostly responsible for the cinematography and editing.

Modest Mouse video
This was my entry for the Epic Records / Apple Inc. Modest Mouse Greenscreen Music Video Competition. I didn't win, but I still like how it turned out. It was done over the summer of 2007.

Remember the Chase
The 16mm film I made in SU's school of Visual And Performing Arts' Film program in the fall of 2006 is now online, and has it's own page. Watch "Remember the Chase."
